Terms

Last updated: 14 July 2026

These terms govern your use of the Carr Accounting Studio website, including its guides and other content. By using the site, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

The site is operated by David Brian Carr Ltd (company no. 14573122), trading as Carr Accounting Studio ("we", "us").

General information, not advice

The guides and other information on this website are general information only. They are not tax, accounting, legal, investment or financial advice and must not be relied on as such. Content may not reflect your circumstances or the current law. Tax rules, thresholds and figures change over time.

You should take professional advice on your own circumstances before acting or deciding not to act.

Who the site is for

The site is intended for founders, company directors and other people operating or considering a business in the United Kingdom. It is intended for business use and is not designed for personal consumer tax planning or use in another jurisdiction.

No client relationship

Using this website, reading a guide, subscribing to our newsletter, sending an enquiry or booking a call does not create an accountant–client relationship. If you engage the firm, that separate relationship will be set out in a signed engagement letter and our terms of business.

What the site does not do

The site does not file anything with HMRC or Companies House, register you for taxes, monitor deadlines or provide an accounting service. We carry out such work only where it is expressly agreed in a signed client engagement. We do not guarantee any particular tax, funding or business outcome from using the site or contacting us.

Accuracy and availability

We aim to keep the site accurate and up to date, but do not guarantee that its content is complete, current or suitable for a particular purpose. We may change, suspend or withdraw all or part of the site. We do not guarantee that it will always be available, secure or error-free.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website and its content, including loss of profit, business interruption, tax liabilities, interest, penalties, loss of opportunity, loss of data, and indirect or consequential loss.

If we are nevertheless found liable to you in connection with this website, our total liability will be limited to the lower of the fees, if any, you paid us in connection with the website in the 12 months before the claim and £100. Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Intellectual property and acceptable use

The content, design and branding are owned by or licensed to Carr Accounting Studio. You may view the site and use its content for your own internal, non-commercial purposes, and share links to it. You must not copy, scrape, republish, sell or commercially exploit its content without our written permission.

You must use the site lawfully and must not disrupt it, introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorised access or infringe anyone else's rights.

Links and third-party services

The site links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for their content, availability, security or practices. A link does not mean we endorse everything on that site.

Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version and last-updated date will appear here.
