How to Get Your Home Address Off Companies House

Registered your company from home? Your address is on the public register. AD01 fixes it going forward for free; SR01 cleans up the past at £34 a document.

If you registered your company from home, your home address is probably on the public Companies House register right now — and anyone can find it in about ten seconds. Two forms fix it: AD01 changes your registered office going forward and is free, and SR01 removes your home address from past filings for £34 per document.

Here's how to check, and how each form works.

First, check whether you're exposed

Search your company name on the Companies House register and look at the registered office address. If that's your home, it's visible to anyone who looks. It's an easy thing to miss, because you set it once when you formed the company and never see it again.

AD01 changes it going forward — for free

Filing form AD01 changes your registered office to a different address — for example a virtual office. It's free to file, and it stops your home showing on future filings.

SR01 removes it from the past — £34 per document

AD01 doesn't touch the filings you've already made. The register keeps those, and they still show the old home address. To remove it from those, you file form SR01, which suppresses your home address from a historical document for £34 per document.

Since 21 July 2025, SR01 can also suppress your day of birth, your signature and your business occupation from the register.

What to do

Ten seconds tells you whether you're exposed. AD01 fixes it going forward for free; SR01 cleans up the past at £34 a document. Whether the historical clean-up is worth it is your call, but it's worth knowing both forms exist.
